A few helpful answers
How do I get started?
Open the Walk tab and choose Quick Walk to start recording, or Plan a walk to choose a starting point and route options. Free v1 has no account or sign-in system. When you finish a walk, it is saved on your phone.
How does route planning work?
Use the structured planner to choose a starting point, duration and the available route options. RunRo plans loop walks. You can inspect the route, its route length and estimated route duration before starting.
Route planning is currently available in Türkiye only and requires internet access. If you are outside Türkiye, loop planning is not currently available there. You can choose Quick Walk to record without a planned route. Other route shapes and turn-by-turn guidance are not offered in this release.
Why can’t RunRo plan a route?
First check your connection, location permission and whether your starting point is in Türkiye. Waiting will not extend the current planning coverage.
If the starting point is too far from walkable paths or streets, choose another starting point near one. If no suitable route is found, try another starting point or duration; a route is not available for every combination.
If the routing service is temporarily unavailable, try again later. You can also choose Quick Walk to record without a planned route. If the problem continues, email support@runro.app with the message you saw; you do not need to send your GPS trace.
RunRo cannot access my location
Check iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → RunRo. Make sure Location Services is enabled and grant the permission requested by RunRo. The Profile screen also has a location-permissions entry. If access is blocked, change it in iOS Settings and return to the app.
What if Precise Location is off?
Route planning needs the iOS Precise Location setting. With it off, RunRo has only an approximate starting point and asks you to enable Precise Location before planning. You can manage this setting in iOS Location Services. Location permission does not make walked-distance estimates exact.
How do I record and finish a walk?
Choose Quick Walk, or start from a planned route. Allow location access when requested. During a walk, use pause and resume as needed. Finish the walk to save it, then open Progress or History to view it. GPS availability and iOS location updates can affect the recording.
My walk was interrupted. Can I recover it?
Reopen RunRo. If an unfinished walk is found, a recovery screen shows what was recorded and lets you save or discard it. Saving uses the last recorded activity as the end of the walk; time or movement after that point is not recovered.
A recovered distance estimate may differ from the number you saw while recording. This release does not promise to reconstruct missing GPS updates.
Can I use RunRo offline?
Quick Walk recording and viewing locally saved history do not need the RunRo API. GPS still needs usable location updates and permission. New route planning and map-tile downloads need a connection, so a map may be incomplete offline.
Why is my walked distance an estimate?
RunRo estimates walked distance from your phone’s GPS. GPS can over- or under-count, especially while stationary, indoors, around tall buildings, or when iOS limits location updates.
Estimated pace depends on recorded distance and time. The route length shown before a planned walk measures the planned route geometry; it is separate from estimated walked distance.
The app crashes or something goes wrong
Reopen the app and check whether an interrupted walk is available to save. If the problem continues, email support@runro.app with your iPhone model, iOS version, RunRo version from Profile, and what you were doing when it happened.
If you include a screenshot, check it for personal information first. You do not need to send a GPS trace. Deleting the app can remove locally saved walks, so contact support before doing so if you want to keep them.
How can I ask about privacy or remove local data?
Read the Privacy Policy or email privacy@runro.app. You can revoke location permission in iOS Settings. To remove local RunRo app data from your iPhone, use iOS Delete App; offloading or removing the Home Screen icon is different. There is no in-app “delete all data” control in this release.
